The Protection of the Chiquibul-Maya Mountain Massif relies on the support of local communities, organizations, governmental agencies, and people like you.

The concept that we can only protect once we appreciate and we can only appreciate by knowing the areas is vital to the protection of these green areas. As a result we want to invite you to learn more about the Chiquibul-Maya Mountain Massif. Contact the various organizations involved in these areas and learn more about their efforts. Each one of the working institutions have developed a variety of ways by which the local people, other stakeholders as well as visitors can become a part of the conservation effort.

Activities vary from public awareness programs, fundraising, eco-tours, flora and faunal research, building partnerships and linking strategic alliances. You can be a part!!!

The work undertaken in the CMM is dynamic and is being conducted with a deep commitment for ensuring that this green area remains for our future generations, as well as to benefit from it in the present. Protecting the CMM is not only important for us but also for the many creatures that have made this Massif their Belizean home.
